Dashain festival of Hindu
The greatest festival of Hindu: The "DSHAIN" is the greatest festival of all Hindus. It will be celebrated where there are Hindus. This is the special festival for the Hindus of India and Nepal. The festival is the greatest one in case of Nepal. Almost all of the Nepali People celebrate this festival.
This festival takes 15 days. But the most important period is the middle part 4 days which are called Phulpati, Astami , and Dashmai.According to ancient saying Dashmi is supposed to be the victory day of God over ghost. So it is the winning ceremony.
As a winning ceremony the eldest go to oldest one to be blessed with teeka(mix of red podwer,rice and sour milk)
